How does Radiesse™ work?

The results

The procedure

- To prepare for it, you should avoid some things which could increase bruising and bleeding where the Radiesse™ is injected:
- Aspirin
- St. John’s Wort
- Alcohol
- Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
- Large amounts of vitamin E
- A local anesthetic or numbing cream is used at injection sites
- The procedure will take a half-hour or a bit more if several sites are being injected
- You’ll see results right away and they’ll maximize after two or three weeks
Afterwards
You can resume all normal activities the same day. Avoid touching the treated areas, and for a couple of days, avoid any vigorous facial movements such as hearty laughing, gum chewing, or drinking from a straw. A few people have some bruising which might last two or three days, or up to two weeks. The areas could be red for three or four hours, and will have some swelling for a day or two.
