Frequently Asked Questions About Cosmetic Surgery

Serving Denver, Aurora, Cherry Creek, and the Northern Colorado Area

What are the risks of cosmetic surgery?

The risks are partly dependent on which procedure you choose to have, and Dr. Serota will cover this during your initial discussions with him. All surgery carries some risk, and in some rare cases complications do arise afterwards. But most people, especially if they follow Dr. Serota’s recovery instructions and care for themselves well, encounter little or no complication after their cosmetic surgery. Infection is usually prevented by taking an antibiotic. Bleeding is seldom a problem because of the sophisticated tools and techniques which Dr. Serota uses.

If you have a concern about any specific risk or complication of your cosmetic surgery procedure, please feel free to raise it with Dr. Serota, and together you can explore its likelihood, and how best to deal with it if it does arise.
