Deciding to look as good as you feel by undergoing a cosmetic procedure is an important decision. It takes knowledge, understanding and consideration. It is your body, so naturally you will want to place it in the safe hands of someone who you can trust—someone who is board certified, experienced and highly trained.
I want to take this opportunity to provide you with some information about my credentials and expertise in plastic surgery. As a board certified plastic surgeon, I have been practicing in the Denver metro area since 1984 and am a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. I am currently serving as President of the Colorado Society of Plastic Surgeons and am a member of many Colorado and Metro area medical and surgical organizations.
From 1984–1999, in addition to my private practice, I served on the emergency call panel for many of the Denver Metro area hospitals. I also act as a Physician Reviewer for the Colorado Foundation for Medical Care and have worked as a Level II Examiner for the State of Colorado, Division of Worker’s Compensation. I have also served three terms as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the Medical Center of Aurora and am a volunteer faculty member for the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Born in Philadelphia, I received my B.S. in chemistry from Pennsylvania State University and my M.D. from the Medical College of Ohio. I completed my general surgery residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Chicago and my Plastic Surgery residency and fellowship in hand surgery at the University of New Mexico.
There are many physicians today practicing plastic surgery who have received their formal training in another specialty—often a non-surgical specialty.
