Meet Natalie:
Natalie came to us in February for surgery-Since then, she has referred six patients. We thought it might be helpful for you to hear about Natalie's experience with Dr. Serota at the Advanced Cosmetic Surgery Center. This article is based on an actual interview.
The Consultation
From the moment I stepped into the door, I felt comfortable and welcomed. I had spoken to Karen, the patient counselor, prior to my consultation so I knew what to expect-although I was still a little nervous. As I sat in the waiting room, I looked around and saw the many awards that Dr. Serota has received, as well as the photos and testimonials from other patients. This helped relieve some of my anxiety. What really helped was the friendliness and warmth I felt from the rest of the staff. I had brought my children with me as I couldn't find a sitter, but didn't have to worry. They were with me throughout the entire consultation and received quite a bit of attention from the staff.
When it came time to see Dr. Serota, I talked to him about my hopes for the surgery and what I thought would make me look good. He was kind and warm and gave his opinion, letting me know that my expectations were unrealistic and that he wanted to make sure that I looked natural and would be happy with the results. He took the time to explain the procedure from start to finish. His straightforward answers to my many questions and his honesty made me feel that he really cared about making me look my best.
The Surgery and Follow-up
When I went in for my surgery, I felt very comfortable in the Aurora Surgery Center, highly accredited by the national Joint Commission on Accreditation Healthcare Organization. One of the other things that reassured me was that Dr. Serota came out to speak to me and was the last person I saw before going under anesthesia. He also made sure that he checked on me prior to my leaving the surgery center in order to answer any questions I had. We reviewed my follow-up scare and he let me know that my surgery was a success.
I went back to the office a week after my surgery for my first follow-up appointments. It meant a lot to me that over the next few months, Dr. Serota and his staff continued to monitor my progress.
I greatly appreciate the care and compassion of Dr. Serota and his entire staff. All of my questions were addressed prior to surgery and the Dr. was always available to talk. I am happy to say that the friends that I referred have also had the same experience.
