- The dressing and drains, if any, will usually be removed the first day after breast enlargement surgery and you will be placed in your bra.
- Do not be surprised if your nipples feel numb, hypersensitive or both. This may last several weeks before breasts and nipples feel normal.
- Report any rapid increase in size with swelling or discoloration.
- No lifting or reaching – limit the motion in your shoulders as much as possible. No strenuous activities, such as household chores, sports, jogging or picking up small children for three to four weeks. After one week, you may begin to drive. If you are not sure about specific activities, check with your doctor first.
- Medication:
- Pain medication as needed
- Antibiotics for days as ordered
- Medrol Dospak for one week
- Wear the fitted bra for six weeks, day and night following breast augmentation. You may remove the bra to bathe and to clean your bra.
- You may shower the day after the dressings are removed, but do not soak in a tub for at least two weeks after breast augmentation or enlargement.
- Sexual activity is possible as soon as you feel comfortable, but discuss this with your doctor.
